A unique bridging of cultures is responsible for the magic that happens at TRIPPER. Founders Francois and Olivier Bernard, were born in Grasse, France - a world renowned historical center of perfumery where modern techniques of extraction were developed.
The Roots of ORIGINE
ORIGINE’s story begins in Grasse, France - The capital of perfume - where brothers François and Olivier Bernard were born. Raised in a family deeply connected to aromatic ingredients, they were raised in a long-standing tradition of aromatic ingredient mastery.
A Childhood in the Spice Islands
Growing up in Sumatra, the Bernard brothers gained a deep respect for farmers and native ecosystems, shaping their commitment to ethical sourcing and value creation at origin.
Awakening the Vision
In the 1980s, while harvesting vanilla in Bali, François envisioned a model where each vanilla bean tells the story of its origin. More than exporting raw products, he saw the need to add value at every step: ensuring quality, traceability, and impact from field to table.
The Beginning of the Adventure
United by a shared vision, François and Olivier founded TRIPPER to process spices at origin in Indonesia, respecting the land, empowering communities, and sharing Indonesian flavor globally.

Launched in 2018, ORIGINE reflects a commitment to sustainability and traceable quality, inviting the world to rediscover Indonesian terroir through expertly crafted extracts and vanilla. We offer more than spices — it’s an invitation to rediscover the depth of Indonesian terroir.
ORIGINE EU: Bringing Indonesia Closer to Europe
Now led by the third generation of the founding family, ORIGINE EU was established in 2024 to serve the European food industry with traceable Indonesian spices, continuing the family legacy and a locally rooted supply chain.
